The 18 gram unit contains approximately 10 to 20 short bursts with an effective range of 8 to 12 ft. I bought this for my wife. Hands down, this is a quality product especially for the money. The trigger system or whatever the proper term for it is, is far better than the pepper spray she had before. With the MACE design there is no way to fire the spray except when it is pointed away from you. That may not seem like that big of a deal, but if my wife needs to use it, I most certainly don't want her to spray herself! This looks like it could happen with different systems. I know I won't be using anything else. She is spending time in the city with less anxiety with this Mace spray. Great flip top and directional handle makes the spray much easier to use in a panic situation. So you guys did a great job with the design. The product is definitely small enough to conceal or even place on your keychain.I bought two of these items, one for my daughter and the other for myself.It's one those items that you hope you never need to use it but thankful you have itif you do! Honestly I have not tried the product because I do not want to wastethe content. I will though because I want to make sure it works( I only gave it 4 stars,since I have not tried it yet). Only disappointment is the cost, after I purchase these,I was told that you can purchase the exact item alot cheaper @ the hardware storefor $3.95, then again this (Amazon) saves you the hassle of going there.....Seller delivered on time. I purchased the 3rd because I wore out the VHS cassette on the 2nd.I love the sequencing of the stott system it is much easier on my back then the Classical Pilates although I still do use both for variety. And the Classical Pilates has some advanced and super advanced movements that the Stott does not have.I gave it 4 stars because I prefer the 2nd edition to the 3rd. The warm up and the after workout stretch are better. Also Moria takes you through the maximum recommended reps as opposed to the minimum.To make it better they should use the DVD features (skipping chapters) to shorten or lengthen the workout and maybe print pointers on the screen to allow the user to turn off the commentary.Jay The instruction on this DVD is excellent, the exercizes are challenging and it is well produced. I find the instructor's voice terribly annoying, to the point that I have to turn the audio off. This is a difinite drawback since I still need help with technique.
